Privacy policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Dotem Labs ("Dotem Labs", "we", "us") collects through dotemlabs.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and US privacy laws that apply to our visitors, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.
Who we are
Dotem Labs is a web design, search and automation studio for local businesses in Canada and the United States. You can contact our privacy lead at hello@dotemlabs.com. Dotem Labs is a sole proprietorship owned by Muneeb Ahmad. Our business address is 5650 Winston Churchill Blvd, Mississauga, ON L5M 0L7, Canada.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to answer you and provide our services:
- Forms you submit. Your name, business name, city, website, email address, phone number, the problem you want help with, and any message you write. This includes the free audit, the booking and contact forms.
- Booking details. The date and time you choose and the notes you add when you book a call.
- Usage data. Pages you visit, the time you spend on them, your browser and device type, and your approximate location from your IP address.
- Campaign data. UTM tags and referring page, so we know which channel brought you to us.
- Cookies. See Cookies and analytics below.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not collect sensitive information such as health, financial account or government ID numbers through this website. Please do not send them to us.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare your free audit, and arrange a call.
- To deliver the services you agree to buy, including building, hosting and maintaining your website and running your marketing and automations.
- To send you follow-up messages about your enquiry, and, if you agree, our newsletter and offers.
- To measure and improve our website, and to understand which marketing works.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to protect our business from fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to make decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for the purpose described above. These include our customer relationship and automation platform (GoHighLevel), website hosting, email and text delivery, calendar booking, analytics, and our payment processor. These providers may store data outside Canada and the United States. Where they do, we require them to protect it to a standard comparable to this policy.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our business or others. If we sell or merge the business, personal information may transfer to the new owner under the same protections.
Text and email consent
We send commercial electronic messages (email or text) only when we have your consent under CASL and the US CAN-SPAM Act and Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). When you submit a form or book a call, we treat that as consent to reply to you about that enquiry. Marketing messages, such as newsletters or offers, are sent only if you tick the box for them. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Every commercial message we send identifies Dotem Labs, includes our mailing address and contact details, and has a working unsubscribe link or reply option.
How to unsubscribe
Click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email, or reply STOP to any marketing text. We will stop marketing messages within 10 business days, as CASL requires. You can also email hello@dotemlabs.com and ask. Unsubscribing does not stop messages about a service you have bought, or replies to a question you asked us.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, to remember your preferences, and to measure visits. Analytics and advertising tools, including Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, may set cookies that track visits across sites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. Where local law requires your consent for non-essential cookies, we ask for it before setting them.
We honour Global Privacy Control signals from your browser as a request to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, where that applies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client records for as long as needed for the purpose they were collected, and then for up to seven years where tax or accounting law requires it. We delete or anonymise other information when it is no longer needed.
Where it is stored and how we protect it
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need it, and secure service providers. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the relevant regulator, as the law requires.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, and ask us to delete it. US residents, including California residents, can ask to know, correct, delete and opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information, and will not be treated differently for using these rights. To use a right, email hello@dotemlabs.com. We will verify your identity and reply within 30 days, or within the period the law allows.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), or to your state attorney general or regulator in the US.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a material change, we will tell you on this site or by email before it takes effect.
